I tried to reset a 97 850 Service light (oil) for a neighbor with my OBDII scan tool and it wont reset. Any ideas? 97 does not have the pins under the hood like earlier models.

 

I have a 96 with obd2.
Bought a scanner, it won't touch it.

need to use volfcr and a obd2 cable.

So you'll need;
Laptop or pc with a serial (db9) port.
obd to serial cable.
volfcr software.

once you have these it's **** easy to do.

When I did my oddometer on my 97, I just took the bulb out. Now I never have to worry about it.
