problem solved... works great, and pulls strong, for the first time since ive had the car..

the pin holding the wastegate rod on had rusted off and broke off, blocking the pin hole. so it was a PITA to get the broken rotted + seized pin out of there, 2 broken drill bits and about 10 different types of picks to push it out.

Actually i have a hard time believing that its just doing 7psi. At 15psi im going to need a new pair of pants. Excited for summer.

I hear they are pretty good.

You still might need to fix something in the vent system to stop the oil leak.

Get the 2nd one. I got the 1st one and I cut it in half and stuck an aluminum bar all the way through it.

Do your PCV system if you haven't yet.

And NO. The OBX bar will NOT match that of EST or IPD. On your completely stock set up, it will do fine, but once you start adding in stiffer suspension and other mods that are going to induce flex in the front there, you would want something like IPDs Stage 3 strut mount

http://www.ipdusa.com/Volvo-850/Susp.../p-72-151-853/

EST's strut brace is good too, but I like that IPDs strut brace at the "collar" that goes all the way around the strut tower, whereas EST's only does where the bar mounts the base. OBX's has no collar at all. which is where all of the flex is going to be.

OBX Front strut bar such as this one? worth buying?
My car is wearing the second one. The product is not top notch. The aluminum is fairly pliable, not that strong. IMO a strut support should be solid, not having flex joints.

Plus: Cheap, looks good, fit well and works

Neg: flex joints, pliable metal
