Engine Just stopped running
See if they will wait nine weeks for the check to clear. That is some crap. Damn good price for an engine rebuild though. Hope they did good work. Let us know how it's going.

Hi guys Long time no talk to. I had to come visit and let you know the CRAP I have been through. First of all you should look at the date when I first started this topic and that when I first brought my car to the shop in where it was purchased. Yep it's been this long without a vehicle, almost 9 weeks
I called last week to see if I could get my car back I was told to #*^* off or he would shoot my car out, come to my home and punch me in the face. So I did what anyone in their right mind after 9 weeks and threatening gestures would do, I called the police and had him charged with verbal assault. Well the next day, "today" I got a call saying Brian your car is ready LOL what an **** face. I can't believe the crap I've been through. day after day, excuse after excuse. So the total cost of all the repairs came to $1275.54 Canadian for an engine re build. Yes I know this is a good deal but not good enough to wait 9 weeks omg

I just hope the guy didn't do anything funny to your engine...
Did you swap a turbo or n/a?
Well seems the engine is fine. It's a little weird with the ac on, clicks rev's high and clicks rev's low. Seems to happen when the fan kicks is on. When I push my break I also get an air sound, like an air leak and the car vibrates when stopping. The steering seems to be totally different. I'm not sure what happened but it's chunky when turning and it's vibrates as well.
Got some issue coming up soon I believe.
Is the sterring involved in the Job they did, Valves, heads, Timiing belt, tensioner? Could they have put it back together incorrectly?
What could the break issue be, Viberating when coming to a stop? And the loosing air sound when pushing the break while in the park position?

Guys I don't normally double post but I just need a little advice. If I'm going to complain about this, "if I even can" I need to do it tomorrow morning.

^Anytime you drop a motor, you could bump something and it can go wrong. I can't confirm that they wouldn't need to disconnect the power steering to swap a motor, but it doesn't seem like you would, but I could be wrong.
If there is trouble, give it back to them and show them exactly what you're talking about. If you gotta give them a ride, do it.
Hope you get the problems fixed.
(The vibrating for the brakes could be the warped rotors, but I don't know how that could happen if it's been in the shop for the past 9 weeks.) I wish I could be of more help, just definetely give the mechanic a ride and show him exactly what you're talking about.

If all they did was valves, timing belt and tensioner, it was all on top of the engine. If they had to remove the engine, which would mean they did more than what was just mentioned, they could have messed with the steering components. I would just go back to them and tell them the problems you are experiencing and see what they say. The fact that they kept your car for nine weeks is very strange. I would be very skeptical of dealing with them.
Your right Jim, I'm really tired of this crap but there the only Volvo dealership in our city, the next closet is in Sudbury and that’s almost 1 hour and 30 minutes away. I called today regarding the steering issue and the breaking issue. They said they would look at it when I bring the car in to get the engine checked.
