Default slight vibration

2007 volvo s70 glt with 177,000 miles

What exactly would need to be replaced to eliminate all vibration from a running engine? It's not bad but I know it didn't vibrate like that brand new

Something that would be worth a try is replacing motor mounts.

Philosophically, I think a full engine overhaul with additional balancing would help vibration a little. Engine vibration is necessary because the crank is being accelerated intermittently by explosions, and the block is also being pushed the opposite way by the same events. Vibration worsening caused by normal wear and tear would fall into two categories in my opinion: 1 is differences in leak down of the different cylinders. 2 is clearances that are larger than they should be. An overhaul should improve both of those.

Thanks. It's not like it vibrates when accelerating. Only when in gear and stopped. It's not even annoying. The car runs really good I thought getting that slight vibration to stop would be the cherry on top!
